Baby Chakraborty, KalimNews, September 16, 2024, Kolkata: The CBI has summoned four officers from the Calcutta Police, including two inspectors, in connection with the investigation of a high-profile case at RG Kar Hospital. 

This move follows initial allegations of negligence and mishandling of the investigation by local police.

The CBI’s action suggests that there may be a larger conspiracy involved. 

The officers, including two sub-inspectors, are believed to be linked to the case, which has raised speculation that the investigation could reveal new dimensions to the situation. 

The case centers on the alleged rape and murder of a young student-doctor at RG Kar Hospital, which occurred on August 9. Allegations have surfaced that evidence was tampered with following the incident. 

The post-mortem report and the hasty cremation of the victim’s body have intensified scrutiny.
